... and the winner is?

Congratulations to Duncan Moore of Montreal, CA who's won our £10,000 prize for innovation.

A big an hearty "congratulations" today goes to Duncan Moore from Montreal, Canada who's web-app idea has won the Deep Blue Sky Web Innovation Awards 2010.

Tough Decisions...

We had so many entries to our competition this year, of such a high calibre, that it's taken us a lot longer than we were expecting to come to a decision.  In the end it came down to just a few short-listed ideas and after an interview with each of those who were short-listed Duncan's idea was chosen.

What was the idea!?...

Things move pretty quickly in our industry so we've taken the decision to keep the details under wraps until it's released later in the year.  What we can say is that the app is a tool, a very user-centric, social utility to make everyone's life a little easier, particularly those of you who use Twitter every day.

What do the runners up get?...

As a big, big thank you to all those people who took the time to enter their ideas it's been decided that they will be the very first people to be invited to use this new app when it's launched.  What better critics could we find?

The work begins...

Now work begin's to bring the idea to life. We're expecting a build time of two to three months after which the application will be released to a small, invite-only audience and will grow from there.

We're extremely exited about this project and we hope you are too.  If you would like to know any more about the competition or if you would like an invitation to the app when we launch please leave your name and email address and a little comment below.
