What is Machine Learning?
And why is it all over my news feed?
These days you can rarely switch on the news, listen to a podcast or read an article that doesn't refer to Machine Learning (ML) or Artificial Intelligence (AI). One of the key benefits both is freeing your team from mindless admin tasks so they can get to more meaningful work. There are more than 300 companies experimenting in the AI and ML landscape, so where do you fit in? Before you can start making these innovations you'll need to understand the basics.
Artificial Intelligence vs Machine Learning
What's the difference?
Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) are hot topics right now but often these two terms are used interchangeably and they're not quite the same thing.
AI is the broader concept of machines being able to carry out tasks like humans or have the same level of sentience that you and I have which computers are not really capable of, yet.
ML, by contrast, is the current application of AI, where we give machines access to large amounts of data and let them learn for themselves.
