Deep Blue Sky Sponsors Bath Digital Festival 2014

Deep Blue Sky are proud to sponsor the third annual Bath Digital Festival, held in October.

It’s a little-known fact that Bath and Bristol boast some of Europe’s most creative digital talent – in fact, the untapped potential of the South West’s tech community was even picked up by Forbes earlier this month, hailed as ‘Britain’s best tech cluster’.

With such an active group of tech experts right in our midsts, we’re delighted to be sponsoring the highly anticipated Bath Digital Festival; a series of workshops and events aimed at those who are in, or aspire to join, tech businesses.

Now in its third successful year, the Bath Digital Festival will be running events for anyone interested in the digital professional sphere, from an introduction to CSS coding to creating successful start-ups and how to take on an apprentice.

As a web agency with many strings to our bow, we’re excited to be a sponsor for such a thriving local event. In particular we’re interested to hear about Games for Good – a talk about how games are rapidly becoming more than just entertainment. Since launching our own fantasy twitter stock exchange game, twiDAQ, in 2012, we’ve seen how it’s possible to use a game to not only entertain, but to discover online trends and provide companies, brands and even individuals with evidence of marketing campaign successes. It certainly seems as though the gaming world is opening up to a wider scope of possibilities for both users and businesses.

Deep Blue Sky is also sponsoring the SPARKies Tech Awards, and our founder Jim will be presenting the award for 'Future Spark – Most Exciting Talent Under 21'.

The Bath Digital Festival runs from the 27th October to the 5th of November. Learn more about the Bath Digital Festival here.
